1 pie crust dough, frozen or homemade
2 Charcutnuvo Chicken Apple Sausages, diced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced (about 1/2 cup)
1 cup roasted red pepper, roughly chopped
2 handfuls of spinach, chopped and cooked
1 cup half & half
1 cup shredded gouda
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Preheat the oven to 350F and follow any par back instructions for your pie crust.
Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet to medium heat. Add onions and saute until just translucent. Add sausage and saute until just browned. Add spinach and saute until just wilted, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and mix in roasted red pepper.
In a large bowl, whip together eggs, half & half, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Place the sausage and vegetable mixture into the parbaked pie crust. spread shredded gouda on top, then pour in egg mixture. Don’t fill to the top as the egg mixture will rise.
Bake at 350F for 50 minutes or until the egg mixture is set and the crust is fully cooked.
Let cool for 15 minutes, slice and enjoy!
