Italian Sausage Pizza
1 package of Charcutnuvo Smoked Pork Italian Sausage
2 homemade or premade pizza crusts
2 cups marinara sauce
1 cup spinach, wilted
½ red onion, thinly sliced
6-8 pepperoncini peppers, sliced
2-4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Red pepper flakes for garnish
Preheat the oven to 400F, or follow the instructions for your premade pizza crust.
Dice 2-3 Charcutnuvo sausages into small chunks. Warm a nonstick skillet to medium heat and add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Saute the sausage until browned and set aside.
Next, bring the same skillet down to medium-low heat and add the spinach. Drizzle a little more olive oil on top of the spinach and stir continuously until wilted. Set aside.
Build your pizza by rolling out the dough on a flat surface. Top with marinara sauce, cheese, sausage, spinach, red onion, and pepperoncini peppers.
Place on a pizza stone in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Top with red pepper flakes and enjoy!
Recipe makes 2 pizzas.
